How would you describe your job in three sentences to your eight-year-old nephew?
I help people. I help gamers find optimal places to play online. I help advertisers attract gamers to their website and I help my employees by creating a challenging and rewarding work environment.
What are you passionate about professionally? What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am passionate about constantly learning and applying new knowledge each day to help the organization and each person in the organization grow. Creating an organization that is a living breathing organism is the most enjoyable part of my work.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, expenses fully paid, where would you go? For how long?
Alaska, one month. No phones, no computers, no modern comforts, backpacking, completely unplugged from the world.
Where is your favorite place to people watch?
Washington square park, NYC, so long as I can play chess and scrabble as well

What has been your greatest personal achievement so far?
My two boys Jack(3) and Ben(1)

Life is too important to be taken seriously.

In life its important to love people and use things, not love things and use people.
What is your idea of a perfect weekend?
Fishing with my family and staying in a remote log cabin with wood burning fireplace and beautiful outdoor scenery and wildlife

What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
In college we were daring each other to do shots of beer with gold fish in them, I did quite a few
As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?
A soccer player
How would you describe your job in three sentences to your eight-year-old nephew?
I work for a company to help promote their websites, which has many online computer games to choose from. My job is to get as many people to the website as possible and get them to play as many games as they want to.
What are you passionate about professionally? What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am passionate about “making a difference.” Everyday I want to leave the office knowing I made an impact for the greater good of my company to set us up for future success and wins. I enjoy being creative with ideas, collaborative with my team and focusing on finding solutions. The industry we work in is continuously evolving at a rapid rate, and have the flexibility to adapt, solve, and accomplish success keep the energy flowing and makes everyday different than the previous.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, expenses fully paid, where would you go? For how long?
Palm Islands in Dubai, or the The Maldives. The sun is always shining the water is deep blue and the reefs are a bright turquoise in both of these destinations.
Where is your favorite place to people watch?
Freemont Street in Las Vegas, or the Las Vegas Strip, and the McCarran Airport.

What has been your greatest personal achievement so far?
Feeling Accomplished in all that I do. I worked extremely hard early on to set myself up for success. By the age of twenty-one, I had two College Degrees, including actively working on my third, purchased my first home and had built a foundation for my future. It purley came from hard work, dedication, commitment, and a laser like focused. Someone once told me, “The Things you work the hardest for are the things you will value the most.”
What’s your motto in life?
Strive for greatness, or be a champion today.
What is your idea of a perfect weekend?
My Idea of a perfect weekend consists of seeing live music at local venues. Saturday’s agenda would involve jet skiing, boating or snowboarding with an evening in front of the Fireplace/Bonfire, and enjoying a Sunday brunch and lounging around the house.

How would you describe your job in three sentences to your eight-year-old nephew?
I make sure the company has the people, plan and resources it needs to be successful. I identify organizational issues that need to be solved and work with our team members to make sure they are being addressed. I try to think of ways that the organization as a whole can work better and be more efficient in accomplishing our goals.
What are you passionate about professionally? What do you enjoy most about your job at FourCubed?
I love organizing and planning things. Putting a plan in place and watching it come to fruition. I have a passion for spreadsheets and checklists (ok, I’m kind of a nerd), simplifying a process to be repeatable and efficient and watching that have a positive impact on the company. I love being part of a small company that has immense opportunity for growth.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, expenses fully paid, where would you go? For how long?
Tough to choose, but I think I would travel to Thailand for 2 weeks with my husband. A beautiful exotic location that I will probably never see in my lifetime unless someone else is sporting the bill! After 2 weeks I’d miss my house and my pets.
Where is your favorite place to people watch?
Venice Beach. Best cheesburgers ever. (So…a cheeseburger is what you say to your friend when you want them to look at someone, but don’t want to say “hey look at that guy”. Just say “Cheesburger!” and they know what to do)

What has been your greatest personal achievement so far?
Marrying my husband after 15 years of “courting.” Switching career paths in my mid 20s, going back to school for a second degree and being successful at what I do.
What’s your motto in life?
The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is today.
There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.

What is your idea of a perfect weekend?
Summer: Some sort of outdoor adventure on Saturday – hiking, boating, swimming, camping. Lay on a beach or a grassy field and reading a book. A Bonfire with friends at night. Barbecue on Sunday evening and watch sunset.
Winter: Don’t leave the house for two days, cook big meal, watch a good movie, have a fire and drink some wine on Saturday night. On Sunday tackle some project around the house.

What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
An earthworm cookie.

A Veterinarian.

How would you describe your job in three sentences to your eight-year-old nephew?
I teach people how to play poker. I also get to work with some very great players who make instructional videos for our site. We create and publish instructional videos.
What are you passionate about professionally? What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love problem solving. At DeucesCracked we solve the problem of how best to communicate the thought processes of a winning player to those eager to learn. I enjoy the challenge of communicating while simultaneously trying to improve my own game.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, expenses fully paid, where would you go? For how long?
If an all expense paid staycation is off the table, I’ll take Scotland. But I ♥ NY.

The streets of NYC.

Joining the team here at FourCubed via the acquisition of DeucesCracked.

One hundred “no”s don’t mean a thing, it’s the “yes” that counts.

Saturday in the park with my girlfriend and the dog after a productive week, followed up with a NY Giants win on Sunday.

How would you describe your job in three sentences to your eight-year-old nephew?
I take care of all the money that comes into the business and out of the business. When Fourcubed gets a new worker I make sure they get everything they need. My last duty is I make sure we have everything we need at the office.
What are you passionate about professionally? What do you enjoy most about your job at FourCubed?
I love being able to learn new things and progress in my accounting knowledge. Being able to help gather all the information for the financials is very interesting.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, expenses fully paid, where would you go? For how long?
I i would love to go travel all the world’s best beaches. I would love to spend a week at each city to see what it is that makes them the best.

What has been your greatest personal achievement so far?
I’ve completed the Women Rock Starlet Challenge twice which entails running a 10k,5k, and 2.5k back to back

Live life to the fullest, you only get one!
What is your idea of a perfect weekend?
My perfect weekend would be getting my workout in and then going out and enjoying the outside with my loved ones.
Do you have a cause you are passionate about?
I love to help out anything to do with dogs. I also love to support the JDRF.

I’m such a picky eater I don’t really have anything weird that I’ve had

I wanted to play clarinet professionally. That changed once I realized I loved Accounting.

As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?
How would you describe your job in three sentences to your eight-year-old nephew?
I help out around the office with whatever task needs to be done. I assist my co-workers with projects and participate in weekly meetings. I do whatever I can to make the other FourCubed worker’s jobs easier.
What are you passionate about professionally? What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy new experiences, specifically in the business or sports management fields. The best part about my job here is learning about the various projects that FourCubed accomplishes as well as building good relationships with my co-workers.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, expenses fully paid, where would you go? For how long?
I would go to Europe for 6 months, visiting as many different countries as I could and spending time in each one enjoying the new cultures and experiences.
Where is your favorite place to people watch?
My favorite place to people watch is the Minnesota State Fair.

Fish, but if I had to pick one I would pick dogs for sure.
What has been your greatest personal achievement so far?
Successfully completing my first year of college at High Point University, seeing my 3 younger siblings succeed in sports, and eating 19 regular sized hard-shell tacos in one sitting (my friend and I both ate 19, 38 combined, to break a record at a restaurant)
What’s your motto in life?
Don’t worry, be happy. Life is too short to have too many worries so you need to be happy and enjoy it while you can.
What is your idea of a perfect weekend?
Spending the weekend at my cabin with both family and friends, having fun outdoors out on the lake, playing golf, and eating great food.
Do you have a cause you are passionate about?
After visiting Africa last summer, I have become passionate about the safety of the animals there and the fight against poaching, specifically with rhinos.
What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
I have eaten alligator at the State Fair and soup with Nile Perch in it in Tanzania, Africa.
As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?
As a child I wanted to be a professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
How would you describe your job in three sentences to your eight-year-old nephew?
I use my computer to gather information so I can help make the company better. When directions are given I follow through, often emailing people to get them interested in the company. I even get to play darts and win against my brother.
What are you passionate about professionally? What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am passionate about the business world in general. My dad is a venture capitalist so I’ve been around his work in helping small businesses for many years. I enjoy striving to make the company better in whatever way I can.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, expenses fully paid, where would you go?
I would travel east along the southern coast of Spain, into France, then down into Italy, stopping in every famous city. The rich culture and beautiful sights of that area in Europe make it appealing. Can’t forget the food either.
Where is your favorite place to people watch?
The State Fair. People watching is the best attraction, and it’s free!

Dogs, the loyalty and happiness set them apart.
What has been your greatest personal achievement so far?
Winning two state basketball championships with DeLaSalle. All the individual training and preparation in the off-season was key. 6am practices during the season, believe it or not, helped the team succeed.
What’s your motto in life?
Whatever you do, be the best at it.
What is your idea of a perfect weekend?
Going up to my cabin and relaxing at the lake and in the sun. Golf, badminton and bonfires are the cherry on top.
Do you have a cause you are passionate about?
At this stage in my life I’m constantly learning about different issues, many of which intrigue me. There isn’t one cause I’m most passionate about yet.
What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
Octopus, alligator, and poi. I enjoy getting out of my comfort zone when it comes to food, the least that can happen is creating a memorable experience.
As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?
I wanted to be a professional sports player. Whether it was basketball, soccer or baseball, I wanted to make money by having fun and running a lot.

Jim currently serves on a few boards including Real Resources, Livio Health Group, Twin City Lawncare & Landscape, and 8D Photonics. Hobbies include reading, running, and farming – and all things family. Jim has a BA in Math and Religion from Hamline University and an MA from Luther Seminary.
